The Internal Residual Gas and Effective Release Energy of a Spark-Ignition Engine with Various Inlet Port–Bore Ratios and Full Load Condition

This paper presents the effect of inlet port diameter–bore ratios (IPD/B) on effective release energy and internal exhaust residual gas a spark-ignition engine. To investigate in combustion chamber, simulation model is setup based AVL-boost software, to validate an experimental also setup. The results research show that: IPD/B have large energy. When ratio increases from 0.3–0.5, 0.11% 0.14%, 0.33 KJ maximum value 0.45 KJ, after that decreases. engine shows at 0.4. emission HC CO decreased, but NOx increased until decreased.
